Intended Audience

ASHI CPR and AED courses are designed specifically for the average citizen. The program is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting, and is based upon the 2015 International Consensus on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Science with Treatment Recommendations (CoSTR) and other evidence-based treatment recommendations. Individuals who do not work in the healthcare field but are occupationally required to, or desire to, have CPR knowledge and skills, such as:

  • Emergency response teams in business and industry
  • School bus drivers
  • Adult residential care personnel
  • Child care workers
  • Teachers
  • Parents
  • Babysitters

Class Configuration

This is an in-person training session that instructs providers to recognize and treat victims of sudden illnesses and/or injuries.

Course includes CPR/AED for infant, child, and adult, along with obstructed airway. First Aid includes important topics such as legal concepts, bleeding, severe allergic reaction, shock, dehydration, diabetes and more.

Successful Completion

This course meets the requirements for day care providers. A certification card and training certificate will be awarded to participants that complete the class.
